Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you and request that you complete your patient forms. This information is part of your health history and will help us understand your current health situation.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Dan Dunbar to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Dan Dunbar to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Dan Dunbar will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your posture, flexibility, spine movement and strength. Other tests mae be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays. X-rays provide us with additional information about your spine that can help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their own misalignments and degeneration changes.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Dan Dunbar will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Dan Dunbar will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Dan Dunbar will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
At the conclusion of your report of findings, you can choose to experience your first chiropractic treatment with us. This may include spinal adjustments, motorized roller table treatment, posture and movement training and muscle massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can ask questions and learn about the different styles of treatment being used.
Prior to leaving, Dr. Dan Dunbar will provide information for things you can do at home. These will likely include ice or heat application instructions, activities or positions to avoid, and exercises/stretches. If you desire, we can provide information that can help you develop healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. The purpose of our wellness information is to help you achieve good spinal hygene, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
